Stoke City Football Club have reportedly agreed a fee for James Collins.

Tony Pulis is determined to bolster his back four before the transfer window closes, particularly as Ryan Shawcross is being courted by a number of Premier League rivals.

Reports in The Sun claim the Britannia Stadium club have agreed a £5million deal with West Ham United for Collins, 25, who is out of favour at Upton Park.

The Wales international joined the London club from Cardiff City in 2005, but the return of Daniel Gabbidon from injury means Gianfranco Zola can cash in.
