Ipswich Town Football Club are expected to seal a deal for Daryl Murphy this week.

Tractor Boys manager Roy Keane is eager to add to his ranks ahead of the transfer deadline, following a rather unimpressive start to the new Championship season.

The Irishman is plotting a return on former club Sunderland to take Irish compatriot Murphy from the Stadium of Light, and the two clubs have already entered discussions.

“Talks are ongoing as I understand it and we will just have to wait and see if these talks come to anything,” the manager of the Premier League side, Steve Bruce, told the East Anglia Daily Times.
