Gomes rules out Arsenal title bid

Heurelho Gomes doesn’t expect Arsenal Football Club to challenge for the title this season.

Arsene Wenger has lost both Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure to Manchester City this summer, and Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Gomes believes this will prove costly.

“Arsenal was considered, but I think it might upset their balance having lost so many important players,” he told Globoesporte. "Chelsea and Liverpool will fight for the title and also Manchester United."

The Gunners appeared to miss neither Adebayor nor Toure on the opening day of the season, though, when they hammered Everton 6-1 at Goodison Park.

Everybody is entitled to have an opinion. However, I can assure you Gomez has no clue about how resilient this Arsenal team can be. Gomez is assuming that Arsenal will miss Ade and Toure and we all know "assumptions are the mother of all ............."!!!!

I dont think spurs can challenge the tittle if their keeper is an idiot.. He conceded stupid goals last season.. Thomas Vermaelen defend better than toure... Adebayor is a lazy chicken... He wont score goals unless you feed him.. Do you the two person is crucial for arsenal.. I dont thing so!!!!!!!

Gomes, unlike Spurs Arsenal are very well organize from bottom to the top. We never change our manager like underwear, so he knows far better than you. Sounds like that you are thirsty to play for gunners. Keep your big mouth shut.. They are still young boys, but far better than your Spurs.
