Birmingham City Football Club are closing on Michel.

Alex McLeish has been chasing the Sporting Gijon midfielder for much of the summer, and Sky Sports claim a fee of around £3million has been agreed between the two clubs.

Michel, 23, is now set to travel to England on Wednesday to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical with the Blues, who hope to tie the deal up before they host Stoke City on Saturday.
