Harry Redknapp insists Jermaine Jenas is not for sale, amidst reports of interest from Aston Villa.

Martin O’Neill is said to be keen on taking the player before the end of the month, but Tottenham Hotspur insist they know nothing of his interest and the midfielder remains part of their plans.

“I've never heard from Martin or anyone else about it," Redknapp told Sky Sports News. "I just think it's probably a football agent trying to sell one of his players to make some money.

“Jenas is a great lad and a good player. If someone offers crazy money for any footballer, then it's good business. You can never say never with any player, but he isn't a player that we want to sell."
