Harry Redknapp insists he is not looking to sign Portsmouth Football Club’s David James.

Although the Tottenham Hotspur manager believes the veteran goalkeeper is the best England have to offer, he is happy with the options he has in Heurelho Gomes and Carlo Cudicini.

"Anyone would want him but I have two keepers and I cannot take another one," Redknapp told Sky Sports. "If I didn't have a goalkeeper he would be top of my list. I'm okay in that position.

"David James, for me, is still England's best goalkeeper, he's fantastic. Hopefully they can keep hold of him because he'll play a major part for them."
