Arsenal continue to keep tabs on Kalou
02:00 PM 21 August, 2009
Arsenal Football Club may yet make a late bid for Salomon Kalou.

Arsene Wenger is a big admirer of the Ivory Coast international forward, who has in the past been quoted as saying he would like to work for the French coach.

The player insists he is happy at Chelsea though, but his contract is set to expire at the end of the season when he would be available on a free transfer.

Whilst Kalou has opened talks with the Blues over a new deal, it is believed Wenger is keeping tabs on the situation and may make a bid before the September 1 deadline.

"A new contract for Salomon is negotiable,” the striker’s agent, Jan de Visser, told Sportweek. "But first he wants time for quiet reflection. We will take time to make a decision.”
