Vladimir Weiss could play a part for Manchester City’s first team this season.

Mark Hughes has spent almost £100million in the transfer market this summer, as he looks to transform City into a team capable of challenging for the Premier League.

However, a player who could yet make an impact at Eastlands this season is young Slovakian ace Weiss, who starred for the Blues against Barcelona in the 1-0 friendly win on Wednesday.

“Barcelona have great depth, great young talent, but I thought Vladimir Weiss was the best young player out there tonight," said Hughes of a player called up to the full national squad this year.
