Brian Jensen believes Burnley Football Club beat the best team in the world on Wednesday night.

The Danish goalkeeper saved a penalty from Michael Carrick to put the icing on a 1-0 win over Manchester United which rocked the footballing world, but he still rates the Reds as the best.

“When I looked in the programme and saw Wayne Rooney was the star man, I thought it should be the star men really," Jensen said. "They are a quality side. One result does not change that.

"Was I surprised they tried to put us under pressure? They are the best team in the world. I expected it. I have to praise the whole back four for standing up to the best team in the world."
