Manchester City close on £22million Lescott
10:00 AM 22 August, 2009
Manchester City Football Club are closing on Joleon Lescott.

The Blues have seen two bids rejected by Everton for the defender, who has handed in a transfer request and has since been dropped by the Toffees for his attitude.

However, the Daily Mail now report that David Moyes has resigned himself to losing the former Wolverhampton Wanderers star, who seems destined for Eastlands.

It is believed City will finally get Lescott for a fee of £22million, with the deal expected to be tied up in time for the player to make his debut at Portsmouth next weekend.
