Manchester City close on £24million Lescott
12:30 PM 23 August, 2009
Manchester City Football Club look like finally winning the signature of Joleon Lescott.

The Blues have failed with two offers for the England international defender this summer, but Mark Hughes has made no secret of his desire to strike a deal with Everton.

“My understanding before the game was that the clubs are speaking," he said on Saturday. "I would suggest that is a positive sign, although whether or not anything is concluded only time will tell."

It is now believed that the Toffees, who have dropped Lescott due to his desire to make the move, are now set to accept the latest offer for the player, believed to be £24million.

24 million, hahaha, that is an awesome price for everton, lescott is no where near 24 million and this is comin from an everton fan, please, he should be anywhere from 10-15, but 24 million, now we can buy 2 or 3 quality players, thanks man city. Hughes is a joke of a manager, well done moyes, Moyes is truly the best manager apart form Sir Alex, and as long as we dotn lose MOyesie we will always be near the top at the END of the season.

Mark hughes a long time ago was a gr8 player, he could have been a gr8 manager but instead he decides to stay with the city scum with a pot of gold tryin to buy their way to the top. the way Hughes has publicly said "i want that one and that one" is disgusting he has unsettled alot of clubs, players and managers. do your business properly. F.A + fifa should outlaw the way clubs like real madrid and man city speak out publicly about players they aint even signed yet. these two clubs are 1 more step to ruining football. HUGHES BURN IN HELL
