David Moyes accepts Joleon Lescott is signing for Manchester City Football Club.

The Everton manager has rejected two previous bids from City for the defender, who has been dropped from the Toffees side after making it perfectly clear he wanted to move to Eastlands.

It is believed Moyes has now agreed to offload Lescott before the transfer deadline, and the former Wolverhampton Wanderers star is expected to sign for City within 72 hours.

"I would have preferred to keep the player. He's a good player and he can play two positions,” said Moyes. "I've been disappointed. You could see the effect that it had last week.

“It's been difficult because Joleon's attitude has been so poor. We'd rather have him playing but if a player is going to behave in the manner he did, we had not choice but to keep him away."
