Kevin Doyle hopes James Harper signs for Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club this week.

The Premier League new-boys have already raided Reading for Doyle, and now the striker hopes they complete a move for his pal Harper, the 28-year-old midfield player.

“He’s asked me about the club and I can only say good things to him,” said Doyle. “You can’t ask for a better training ground or better facilities, there’s no reason for anyone to turn down Wolves.

“I’ve no idea what’s happening, but it would be nice to have him here. I think he’d be an asset for any Premier League team. He’s an all-rounder, he can dig in and he can pass it and score goals.”
