Danny Murphy has signed a new contract at Fulham Football Club.

The Craven Cottage skipper is a key member of Roy Hodgson’s side, having scored 14 goals in 83 appearances since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2007.

Murphy, 32-years-old, has been rewarded with his performances in the shape of a new deal, which will keep him with the London club until 2011.

In the summer, the former Liverpool star was surprisingly linked with moves to Birmingham City and Stoke City, although a deal never looked likely.
