Evans plays down his Manchester United importance
Jonny Evans has a lot more to learn before becoming a key player for Manchester United.
The Northern Ireland international has filled in for Rio Ferdinand this season, as the England international recovers from a thigh injury sustained on the eve of the new campaign.
Evans was also superb when called upon last season, but despite the plaudits coming his way, the 21-year-old insists he still has a lot to learn before being considered vital.
"Getting into the team lifts your confidence and self-belief," said Evans. "But I also know there are plenty of things I need to add to my game before I even think about becoming top-class at United."
