Blackburn Rovers close on £2million Chimbonda
Blackburn Rovers Football Club are closing on Pascal Chimbonda.
It is believed the Ewood Park club have agreed a fee of £2million for Chimbonda, who is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur for the second time in twelve months.
"We are in the process of sorting things out," agent Willie McKay told skysports.com. "Pascal is travelling up to Blackburn and will hopefully undergo a medical tomorrow if everything is agreed."
Chimbonda left White Hart Lane for Sunderland last summer but returned in January, but has since fallen behind Alan Hutton and Kyle Naughton under Harry Redknapp’s watch.
A move to Rovers would see the Frenchman return to the North West, where he first made his name in England during a two-year stint with Wigan Athletic from 2005-2007.
