Reid free to take Stoke City position
Peter Reid is free to take the assistant manager’s position at Stoke City Football Club.
It was revealed at the weekend that the former Sunderland coach would be Tony Pulis’s assistant at the Britannia Stadium, although the Thailand FA claimed he would remains as their national coach.
However, Reid has now revealed that he has reached an agreement with the FA, and he is free to take up the position at the Premier League club.
"Once everything was sorted out with the Thai FA, I did have three years left on a deal there and I didn't want to upset anyone there, I was delighted to say yes and be part of it," said Reid.
"I enjoyed it there. The players are technically very, very good. It's a great place to live in terms of the culture and the climate. But the Premier League is the greatest league in the world.”
