Middlesbrough Football Club are expected to make a move for Rob Hulse.

Gareth Southgate is keen to add to his strike options at the Riverside Stadium, as he looks to return the club to the Premier League at the first attempt.

The Boro boss has cash to spend before the transfer deadline, having sold Stewart Downing, Robert Huth and Tuncay Sanli since the end of last season.

Sky Sports claim Southgate has made Derby County frontman Hulse a top target, although Championship rivals Derby County are sure to do all they can to keep the 29-year-old.
