Danny Collins will discuss a move to Stoke City Football Club ahead of the deadline.

Steve Bruce, the Sunderland manager, has confirmed an offer has been accepted for the defender, who had played in the Black Cats opening three Premier League matches.

"We've accepted an offer from Stoke City," Bruce confirmed to Sky Sports on Saturday afternoon . "We've given the opportunity to Danny Collins to see what he wants to do."

Due to the bid Collins was on the bench when the two sides met on Saturday at the Britannia Stadium, when his likely new club won the three points courtesy of a Dave Kitson goal.
