Portsmouth new-boy recommends Williamson capture
Tommy Smith believes Mike Williamson would be a good signing for Portsmouth Football Club.
Paul Hart swooped to take Smith from Watford in a £1.8million deal this week, and he is set to return to the Championship side with a bid for defender Williamson.
"I have spoken to the gaffer here about him and was asked what I think, and I certainly think he can step up," said Smith, who rejected Reading to sign on at Fratton Park.
"He's a good player, somebody who is hungry for the challenge and a very hard worker. I think he would be a great acquisition for the club."
