Hoilett excites Blackburn Rovers manager
Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is excited by the potential of Junior Hoilett.
The 19-year-old brightened up a dull meeting between Rovers and West Ham United on Saturday, when he tried to lob Robert Green from 20 yards only to see his effort hit the top of the net.
Allardyce is clearly excited by the potential of Hoilett, and he has revealed he plans to introduce the youngster to the first team slowly throughout the course of the season.
"We have an exciting young lad in Junior," said Allardyce. "He played at Gillingham (and scored in Tuesday's 3-1 Carling Cup victory) and there is a bright future for him coming I think.
"But we don't want him to get too big-headed just yet and start getting carried away thinking he is this, that and the other. He is a sensible lad I hope. We'll introduce him slowly and develop him slowly.”
