Tottenham Hotspur given James encouragement
01:00 PM 31 August, 2009
Paul Hart admits David James could leave Portsmouth Football Club.

Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with the England international, and speculation continued to grow when the goalkeeper was left out of the Pompey squad on Sunday.

It is believed Harry Redknapp will make an offer of £2million for the 39-year-old, and Hart admits the player could leave Fratton Park before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

“I don't think there is anybody in the Premier League who is confident of players not leaving," Hart said. "He is the best goalkeeper in England and is injured so it would be slightly difficult anyway.”
