Portsmouth try for £3million Amr Zaki
04:30 PM 31 August, 2009
Portsmouth Football Club have reportedly made an offer for Amr Zaki.

The Egyptian international was a relative unknown last summer, when Steve Bruce, then Wigan Athletic manager, brought him to England on a season-long loan deal.

Zaki started life in the Premier League on fire and was linked with permanent moves to the likes of Liverpool and even Real Madrid, but the goals dried up in the New Year.

The 26-year-old is now back in his homeland with Zamalek, but Sky Sports claim Pompey, in desperate need of a boost, have tabled an offer, believed to be £3million, for his signature.
