Portsmouth fail with offer for Zaki
07:00 PM 31 August, 2009
Portsmouth Football Club’s offer for Amr Zaki has been rejected.

The Fratton Park club wanted to take the former Wigan Athletic loanee in a permanent deal, but their offer has been rejected by Zamalek who are determined to keep hold of the striker.

"Portsmouth have made an official bid for Zaki, but Zamalek said they wanted to keep him and rejected any possibility of his exit," agent Nader Shawki told FilGoal.com.

"They offered £3million or £2.5million plus 50% of the next sale to buy him permanently. They also made a £500,000 loan offer, but Zamalek aren't ready to sell."
