Sky Sports claim David Bentley will NOT be joining Manchester City Football Club this summer.

Widespread reports on deadline day suggested the Blues were close to bringing the England international to Eastlands, in what was initially suggested as a permanent switch.

It was then claimed that the deal would see the Tottenham Hotspur player move on a season-long loan deal, but Sky Sports are now claiming City are not looking to sign Bentley.

After spending heavily over the summer on the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez and Joleon Lescott, Mark Hughes appears to have finished his recruitment drive.
