Dirk Kuyt insists he is not bothered about what Liverpool’s rivals are up to.

The Reds have made a stuttering start to the new season having already lost twice in the Premier League, which has allowed Chelsea to steam six points ahead of them.

However, Kuyt is unconcerned about what the Londoners or the rest of their rivals get up to, as he insists all he is focused on is making sure he and his team-mates pick up enough points.

“Every team will struggle this season,” he said in the Daily Mirror. "At the moment, it's not important to look at where Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are because we've got to think about ourselves.

“I'm sure, if we keep winning games, we'll be up there soon. We will see where we are in a couple of months but, at this stage, it's more important to think about ourselves and our own performances."
