Ryan Shawcross is ready for the challenge at Stoke City Football Club.

The 21-year-old has established himself as a quality performer for the Potters since signing from Manchester United, but he now has competition from summer signings Robert Huth and Danny Collins.

"They are good players,” Shawcross told The Sentinel.

“I remember playing against Robert Huth. They will add competition to the centre-back spots. It's going to be a tough task to keep my place in the team, but I will just have to continue to play well."
