Wolverhampton Wanderers expect Mancienne stay
08:09 PM 04 September, 2009
Jez Moxey expects Michael Mancienne to stay at Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.

The defender is on a season-long loan at Molineux, but there are fears Chelsea may recall him in the New Year due to the transfer ban imposed on them by Fifa.

However, Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey has played down fears Mancienne could be returning to London, by revealing he expects him to stay for the duration of his loan.

“The last thing we want is to see Michael leave,” he told the Express and Star. "We have got Michael here and we'd like to keep him for the season. No-one should get too excited about this situation.

“Chelsea are appealing and Michael is here to play football. We do not necessarily see this as affecting Michael's position. We've got nothing to say in regard to Chelsea's situation. It's none of our business."
