Arbeloa: Liverpool will feel Alonso loss
03:53 PM 06 September, 2009
Alvaro Arbeloa is convinced Liverpool made an error in selling Xabi Alonso.

Defender Arbeloa left Anfield for Real Madrid earlier this summer, but he admits he was surprised the Reds allowed Alonso to follow this path in a £28million deal weeks later.

"The thing I always say about Xabi is that he may not be a match-winner, but he does win you titles," he told The People. "He brings so much balance and order to a team.

“It is impossible to over-estimate how important a player he is."

Mate get over it. We are broke, we have no money due to the 2 yanky clowns. I dont think we will be signing anyone soon. We might have to start fielding the kids. Spearing is 10 times better than Lucas.

Alonso will be sorely missed - we were very good last year in possession and this was down to Alonso - he would dictate the passes, the tempo and always be inolved in the intricle triangle passes with other players. We do not have that luxiary this year so we need to adopt real with (even with Aquilani). We need to focus on buying Stephane Sessesnon in the Jan window first as he will help us and will not cost as much as the Silvas of this world!
