Fulham star: I'm better than Damien Duff!
Bjorn Helge Riise believes he is more worthy of a place in the Fulham side than Damien Duff.
The Norwegian, a summer signing from Lillestrom, is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League for Roy Hodgson, who has since signed Duff from Newcastle United.
The Republic of Ireland international has gone straight into the line-up as he looks like becoming a key player for the Cottagers, which is a bone of contention for his team-mate.
"I came from little Lillestrom in Norway, but players like Damien Duff have a name and status after playing for clubs like Newcastle and Chelsea and is ahead of me,” Riise told Avisenes Nyhetsbyra.
"I will be happy to show them different. I believe I have better qualities and strengths as a player than he does. He has the speed and the experience, and a good shot.
"But he is not that much faster than I am, and I have a better technique, a better touch and deliver better passes than he does. And I can be used in different roles."
