Fletcher set for bumper Manchester United contract
Darren Fletcher could be set for a bumper new deal at Manchester United Football Club.
Once considered not good enough to even be on the bench by some of United’s supporters, the Scotland international is now a genuine first team pick for the Reds.
Fletcher only signed a new deal last year which keeps him at Old Trafford until the summer of 2012, but the News of the World claim the club are set to reward his good performances with a new contract.
It is being suggested that the midfielder, who currently earns around £50,000-per-week, will be offered a deal which would tie down the 25-year-old until 2014 on a weekly package of £70,000.
