Theo Walcott could be back in the Arsenal Football Club side on 19 September.

The England international has been out of action since picking up a back injury in early August, but the club have revealed he is closing on a return to first team action.

"Theo Walcott missed his country's matches in September and is expected to return soon after the international break," read a statement on the club's official website.

Whilst the intriguing trip to Manchester City this weekend is likely to come too soon for Walcott, he could return the following week when Wigan Athletic visit the Emirates Stadium.
