Michael Kightly is closing on a return to action for Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.

The 23-year-old is yet to place for the Premier League new-boys this season due to hip and metatarsal problems, but he has returned to full training and is edging ever closer to a first team return.

"Kightly was back in full training yesterday, which is good news," manager Mick McCarthy told the Express and Star on Tuesday afternoon.

"We'll have to see what happens in terms of a game because he's still nowhere near the real Kights yet. We'll just make sure he's alright and doesn't get frustrated with himself, but he's fine."
