Bjorn Helge Riise insists he has not claimed to be better than Damien Duff.

The Fulham new-boy was quoted in an Norwegian newspaper has saying he has more attributes than the Irish winger, but he insists his comments were taken out of context.

“I have never complained about a player in any of the clubs that I have played in,” he told VG Nett. "I have spoken to the manager and Damien Duff and everyone at Fulham.

“They told me it is cool, that this is nothing.”
