Arsenal’s Bendtner needs to find shooting boots
Nicklas Bendtner admits he needs to score more goals for Arsenal Football Club.
The Danish international, who signed a new long-term contract last week, has become a key member of Arsene Wenger’s first team squad at the Emirates Stadium.
However, the youngster accepts that his record of 14 Premier League goals in two seasons for the Gunners needs improving on if he is to be considered a great player.
"In order to qualify as one of the world's greatest attackers, then you are judged on the number of goals you score," Bendtner told Politiken.
"You could have all the characteristics but if you don't score people can say ‘yes, he knows all the stuff but he has just scored 10 goals in 40 games.'
"Of course that's not a good record. I hope to see that I score 20-25 goals in 40 games. If I get a season where I score 10 times and have 30 assists, I think that would be OK as well."
