Joe Cole expects to win back his place in the Chelsea Football Club side.

The England international is about to return to the first team picture following a lengthy injury lay-off, and he has warned his midfield pals that he expects to regain his place in the line-up.

“It’s great when you are out to see the boys winning obviously,” Cole told talkSPORT. "The boys are playing well, Michael Ballack, Deco and Frank Lampard; all the midfield boys are playing well.

“But my only focus really is getting myself fit and once I’m fit and playing I will hopefully get back in the team. I expect to, I feel like I’m going to come back stronger than I was before.”
