Chimbonda hints at Tottenham Hotspur regret
In hindsight, Pascal Chimbonda knows he made a mistake returning to Tottenham Hotspur.
The French defender left White Hart Lane for Sunderland in a £3million deal last summer, but he found himself back in the Londoners squad when Harry Redknapp re-signed him in January.
However, this latest transfer window has seen Chimbonda move on again, this time to Blackburn Rovers, and he admits his second spell at White Hart Lane was disappointing.
“When I came back to Tottenham I thought I would play but something happened, I don’t know why. I have turned the page and I want to give my 100 per cent for Blackburn,” he said.
“When you move so much it is not good for the player, but now I am here I can play football again and I want to show everyone I can get back to my real form. I want to show what I can do.”
