Gianfranco Zola is delighted to add Guillermo Franco to his West Ham United football Club.

The Mexican international is available on a free transfer following the release of his Villarreal contract, and he is set to sign a one-year deal with the Upton Park side.

"He is doing his medical, he is a good player," Zola told Sky Sports News.

"He is a striker, and international player and I am sure he will be a player that will give us a good contribution. He will start working with me next week.

“He was one of the players on our list, and in the end we finalised it."
