Crouch: Tottenham Hotspur not quite top-four...yet
11:30 AM 14 September, 2009
Peter Crouch accepts Tottenham Hotspur may not yet be ready to challenge the top-four.

Spurs made a great start to the season by winning their opening four games, including a win over Liverpool, but Manchester United brought them back down to earth on Saturday.

The 3-1 home defeat to the champions has given the Londoners a wake-up call, and it has led Crouch to accept they aren’t quite ready for the top-four just yet.

"We've got fantastic quality and have to remember we've had a fantastic start," he said. "We know we're close to the top teams but they've been the top four for a number of years.

“I wouldn't say we are quite there yet. But we've got another chance to see quite how close we are against Chelsea. If we can get a result there, people will start talking us up again."

Oh he now knows that. Crouch shut up and leave the talking to the manager and score goals. In fact Harry should deduct a week wages from the team except the goal keeper for tha shoddy display at the Lane.
