Manchester United Football Club could land David Silva in January for £22million.

Reports at the weekend suggested Sir Alex Ferguson has made the Spanish international a top target for the summer, as he looks to add to his already-impressive squad.

The Reds still have the bulk of the £80million from the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to spend, and they it is claimed they are set to move for Silva, a one-time target for Liverpool.

United, according to Spanish source AS, have been told they can land the Valencia forward for £22million, which would appear a bargain in today’s market.
