Caleb Folan is playing for a permanent transfer to Middlesbrough Football Club.

The Republic of Ireland international striker is set to join the Championship club today, on a loan deal which will see him remain on Teesside for three months.

However, Hull City are prepared to let the former Wigan Athletic player leave on a permanent deal, and it is believed that an agreement is in place.

It is being claimed that if Folan impresses Gareth Southgate from now until the New Year, then he will clinch a permanent £2million switch to the Riverside Stadium.
