Chelsea Football Club continue to monitor Daniele De Rossi, claim reports.

The Blues have been linked with the Italian international in the past, but their chances of signing him anytime soon have been quashed by their transfer embargo.

Carlo Ancelotti’s club have been banned from registering any new players to their squad for the next two transfer windows, although an appeal has been lodged.

Despite this suspension, the Daily Mail claim the Premier League side are keeping tabs on Roma’s De Rossi, who is contracted to the Serie A giants until the summer of 2012.
