David Nugent became an instant hero for Burnley Football Club on Saturday.
The England international cap is on loan at Turf Moor from Portsmouth, and he bagged a brace after coming of the bench on 57 minutes to seal a 3-1 win over Sunderland.
"David Nugent's goals were sublime, he showed his quality," Clarets boss Owen Coyle said of his debutant to Sky Sports. “He has looked sharper day by day.
“He had to be patient as people have been playing ever so well and today the goals were top class, but he is more than that as he led the line well."
