Martin O’Neill feels Gabriel Agbonlahor is getting back to his best for Aston Villa.

The young striker scored a fine goal in the 2-0 win over Portsmouth on Saturday, which was the Midlands side’s fourth successive Premier League triumph.

“Gabby's goal was just absolutely fantastic, out of this world," O’Neill told Sky Sports. "He has been fantastic for us in these matches, absolutely fantastic.

"Whether he's playing with a partner beside him, John Carew today, whether he plays on his own his work rate is back to where he was, so we're back two seasons ago.”
