Shearer fires Newcastle United warning
Alan Shearer has revealed he is ready to end his waiting game for Newcastle United Football Club if an alternative job becomes available.
The St James Park favourite was in charge of the Magpies towards the end of last season, but he failed to prevent them from slipping out of the Premier League.
Despite this, he was fully expected to return on a permanent basis in the summer, but the uncertainly over the future of the club has made this not possible.
Chris Hughton is currently in charge of United and doing a good job, and Shearer has now revealed he is ready to listen to offers from other clubs.
"Despite what happened in my short spell at Newcastle I would dearly love to get back into the game,” said the former England international captain.
“If everything was right then, yeah. If the job came up or if a job was to come up, not necessarily Newcastle United, then I would be interested."
