Patrice Evra believes Manchester City can make the top four this season.

The French defender starred for United as they edged out the big-spending Blues on Sunday, in a 4-3 win which is rated as the best Manchester derby for some time.

This was City’s first defeat of the season and inevitably will raise question marks over their staying power, but Evra told Sky Sports he expects Mark Hughes’s side to make the top four.

"They are a good side and I can see them making the top four, and they were missing two great players in (Emmanuel) Adebayor and Robinho, so let's see what happens,” he said.
