Sebastian Bassong has handed Tottenham Hotspur Football Club a huge boost.

The Cameroon left Stamford Bridge in a neck brace after tangling with Chelsea’s Nicolas Anelka during the 3-0 defeat, but he has been given the all-clear.

"Sebastien Bassong was back at Spurs Lodge today (Monday) for further assessment after being given the all-clear by a head and neck consultant at a hospital on Sunday evening," read a statement released on the club's official website.

"The Cameroon international centre-half was stretchered off after suffering a head injury in the second half of our fixture against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.”
