Stoke City Football Club are refusing to loan out Leon Cort.
The Mirror claim Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest have both been in touch with the Premier League side, as they look to bolster their defensive options.
However, after letting Andrew Davies leave for Sheffield United, Potters manager Tony Pulis has decided against letting Cort leave the club.
The 30-year-old has yet to play for City this season, and he has been pushed further down the pecking order since the signings of Robert Huth and Danny Collins.
