Manchester United issue Hargreaves update
07:07 PM 25 September, 2009
Sir Alex Ferguson hopes Owen Hargreaves will return to action for Manchester United Football Club in around four weeks time.

The England ace has been sidelined for over a year after undergoing surgery on both of his knees, and has done his rehabilitation under the guidance of Dr Richard Steadman.

Hargreaves left the United States and returned to Carrington earlier this week, and Ferguson has revealed the midfielder could be back in action in October.

"I feel it will still take us four weeks to get him into the rhythm of training again and get to the point of match play," said the United manager.

“He has the determination and resilience to see it through. He is now back with us and hopefully the boy gets a break and continues his progress without any further mishaps."
