Giggs the difference for Manchester United
Ryan Giggs was the difference for Manchester United Football Club on Saturday.
The 35-year-old was named on the bench for the Reds as they travelled to Stoke City, but he was introduced on 55 minutes and set up both goals in a 2-0 win.
"It was marvellous movement for the first goal and a nice, easy pass into Dimitar Berbatov, and it was a good finish,” Sir Alex Ferguson told Sky Sports.
"With Ryan we felt that, with the programme we have got coming up, and after a really difficult game last Sunday, it was best for him to be a substitute today."
John O’Shea, making his 350th appearance for United, grabbed the second goal on 77 minutes to send the champions to the top of the table.
